ABOUT JENNIFER
I am an intuitive, empathetic teacher with a scientifically based, holistic health approach to Yoga education and I'm extensively trained to deliver Yoga and Yoga Therapy. I have an understanding of the interconnectedness of a person’s mental, social, physical, and spiritual selves for holistic balanced wellbeing.
Fundamentally, I support students to work on habit and change, to develop skills to restore Holistic life balance, working over the domains of Awareness, Feelings, Words and Thoughts, Movement, Breathing, Senses and Lifestyle, Nutrition, Relationships, and Life Meaning.
Habits in the way we move, and think are usually the underlying cause of our physical and emotional pain or dysfunction. There are many tools that can be used to work to change these habits in the pursuit of our overall wellbeing and health.

I have been practicing Yoga for 36 years and have formally studied as a Yoga teacher/therapist for the past 16 years. I am a Yoga New Zealand registered level 4 Yoga teacher and a New Zealand registered exercise professional.
My Yoga study is an ongoing, lifelong journey. I would like to share my learnings and learn from my students.
I run a home-based, private studio, offering one-on-one Yoga Therapy and small, condition-specific classes for up to six students. I work with advice given to students by other health professionals supporting them.

This training is rooted in ancient wisdom combined with modern science and is refined by extensive application over decades. This yoga education has given me broad skills, deep knowledge, and relevant experience to increase resilience, prevent health problems, recover from illness, and teach this to others effectively.
These teachings have been evolved by students of Sri Krishnamacharya and Dr Ganesh Mohan, raised in the tradition of Sri Krishnamacharya and trained as a modern medical doctor. They integrate a full spectrum of holistic well-being methods: movement, breathing, meditation and mindfulness, lifestyle, diet, relationships, life guidance and more.
